Parent Toolbox

We all want choices! And parents who are told they can only send their kids to the local district/government school, based on their zip code, isn’t a choice.

Fortunately, residents of Arizona have a lot of choices.

Scholarships and Eligibility

The State of Arizona defines four (4) different types of tax credit scholarships, each with different eligibility requirements.

We are certified by the state to award all four (4) tax credit scholarships, which is a good thing for you.

To increase your chances of receiving any of these scholarships, it helps to know about the requirements.

In your “Member Dashboard”, under “My Toolbox”, you have a “Student Eligibility Checker“.

By answering those questions, it will tell you what one student might be eligible for.

Tax Credit Donations

Most parents already know that individuals can make a tax credit donation to Az4Education and recommend students or schools.

One challenge is understanding how income tax credit donations work.

This is really not much different than when your employer removes the “state income taxes” from your paycheck.  Only you are putting extra toward that total when a donation is made to us.

Every donor receives a “tax credit receipt” foyr when ou file your taxes. This is a dollar for dollar reduction (credit) to your tax liability.

And if you give more than your tax liability, you can carry forward the credits for up to 5 years.

What is a school or student recommendation?

This is just another way of saying that the donor can “suggest” how to use the contribution.

If a donor make a “School Fund” recommendation, then any eligible student(s) at the recommended school would be considered for a scholarship.

If the donor made a “Student Fund” recommendation, then the named student(s) are considered.   Note that a student recommendation is not a guarantee of a scholarship.

Use the links below to create a compelling message to send to family and friends to encourage them to use their tax credits for supporting school choice.

What is a custom donation link/page?

To help even more, use our “Custom Donation Link” that is available in your “Member Dashboard” under “My Toolbox”.    Use this in conjunction with your letter to donors.

The next level that can make an even bigger impact is our “Custom Donation Page“.

This is located in the member dashboard under the “Donation Page” tab.   It combines information into a customized web page that you can share with your friends and family.

Try it out after reading the easy “Help” tab.
