AZ4Education Online Scholarship Application Process

by Brian January 25, 2013

What’s new or improved at AZ4Education? For starters, online scholarships! Our process allows you to submit your application online rather than deal with the printed copy, fax/mail routine (although you can still do that). The online application lets you enter information in a standard simplified form.   You are can apply for up to 5 students, attach/upload documents, add individual student or family comments and more.   All information is kept secure, private and any optional uploaded critical records are purged when completed. Applying online will reduce your time filling out your application and if you register with us, you can make […]

We Partnered With Promote Together

by admin October 9, 2012

We are very excited to announce a partnership with Promote Together to help raise funding for scholarships. Promote Together is a very simple, easy to use crowd funding concept for schools to raise donations that can be applied to scholarships. Crowd funding is the collective effort of individuals who network and pool their resources to support efforts initiated by other people or organizations. We will be the first STO to use this crowd funding model for all schools. We view this as an opportunity for the schools to have a more active role in fund raising for scholarships. We also […]

How our Scholarship Selection Process Works

by Brian July 5, 2012

For the 2012 fall enrollment of private k-12 schools, we received 5 times as many scholarship applications than we did the same time last year.     And, we were pleased to be able to award many of those applicants, because of the generous donations made to AZ4Education by helpful residents and companies. Because our scholarship selection process is such a critical part of our process, we thought it would be helpful to explain how this process actually works and help those applying in the future. Our selection committee is comprised of compassionate minded individuals whose goal is to allocate funds to […]

Law Makers call it Switcher Credit – but we call it EXTRA Credit!

by Brian May 8, 2012

Great news for Arizona students, schools, donators and everyone else!    The State legislation passed a bill (SB1047) that goes into effect this year (2012) as A.R.S 41-1089.03. What is so great about this new law? This new law doubles the amount of maximum tax credit you can take!   The “original” tax credit allowed a maximum of $500/$1000 for single/married tax filers, but for tax year 2012, you can donate up to $1003/$2006 to a School Tuition Organization (STO), such as AZ4Education.    This is being called the “switcher credit”, but we are going to be referring to it as “EXTRA” credit. by admin March 14, 2012

The team is very proud of the work that has been going on with our new site. We welcome you to the redesigned new and improved AZ4Education website. Getting started is our way to help guide the user around the site. If you are a potential donor – everything you wanted to know or were afraid to ask, should be there. Parents, we have a page to help you. What to find a private school – they are under schools. If all else fails, we have a FAQ section to help. That question is not there, submit your question and […]

Private School Enrollment Down Again

by admin August 22, 2011

I read an article this past weekend, that discussed the enrollment numbers in private schools are down.  The report says that the pre-K through 12th grade enrollment dropped 12.7% between 2001/2 and 2009/10. Pretty significant drop in enrollment. Looking at the numbers that is about 800,000 student drop in enrollment during that timeframe. Why? There is much speculation to why.. Overall cost of private school tuition has been increasing year over year. Of course the sputtering economy could be to blame. I hate to put the numbers in – but looking at the tuition increase of about 74% – is scary. The […]

Need Your Help

by admin August 5, 2011

From time to time I get asked, “how do you provide funding for students?” Simple question with a simple answer – We get donations and then facilitate providing the funding to students. Look around our website…  We are here to help provide a school choice to parents and students. That choice is in the private school community. All of us at Az4Education really look at this as an opportunity for us to have an impact on a students future. In turn, our future. An investment in the future. I know, it sounds corny, but if one of those students turns out […]
